What stands out the most is the flamed blue "soft iron" combined with stainless steel.

All components are hand welded and polished.

Soft iron will rust on contact with moisture (in the air).

Surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates saliva production. which will encourage the horse to make more contact with the bit.

The rusting (oxidation) process changes the blue color of the Trust-bit to a brownish gray.

A soft iron will develop a layer of orange-brown rust on the barrel if it is not used temporarily.

This is easily removed by wiping it with a damp cloth.
